William Otto, MD

Fellow

William Otto, MD is a Fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training (PHEOT) program managed by the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is also a fellow in the division of Infectious Diseases at CHOP and a student in the Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology program at Penn.

Dr. Otto received a BS in Biological Sciences and his MD from Saint Louis University. After pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Clinics in Kansas City, MO, he joined CHOP as a fellow in the division of Infectious Diseases. His intended area of research will focus on improving the management and outcomes of infections in immunocompromised children through optimization of diagnostic testing, anti-infective prophylaxis, and management of infection. Dr. Otto is a three-time recipient of the Saggie Alon Memorial Resident Research Award at Children’s Mercy Hospital from 2016 to 2018.
