Stephanie Mayne, PhD, MHS

Associate Director, Clinical Epidemiology

Stephanie Mayne, PhD, MHS is Associate Director for Clinical Epidemiology at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE), a core faculty member of the CPCE and PolicyLab, and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the University of Pennsylvania. She is an epidemiologist whose research focuses on the influence of multi-level factors, including health policies, neighborhood environments, and health system factors, on health behaviors and chronic disease outcomes. Dr. Mayne received her PhD in Epidemiology from Drexel University and completed a postdoctoral training program in cardiovascular disease epidemiology at Northwestern University.

Dr. Mayne’s research interest is in the social and environmental determinants of cardiometabolic disease development, with particular focus on smoking, obesity, and stress. Her work aims to identify risk factors and opportunities for prevention of obesity and future cardiometabolic disease among children and their families.
