Pamela Weiss, MD, MSCE is a core faculty member at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), an attending physician in the Division of Rheumatology, and an associate professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Weiss is an experienced academic pediatric rheumatologist with advanced training in clinical epidemiology. Her research focus includes defining the disease phenotype and outcomes of children with juvenile spondyloarthritis (JSpA), development of tools to assess disease activity, and assessing comparative effectiveness of treatments for this understudied population.

Dr. Weiss’s research on the clinical and imaging features associated with early JSpA has led to several significant publications, a national reputation in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) research, and continuous foundation and federal funding. She strives to provide superior clinical care for children with rheumatic disease, use pediatric rheumatology as a platform to share her enthusiasm with students at all levels, and make meaningful contributions to advancing the care of children with JSpA through clinical research activities.
