Nicolas Bamat, MD, MSCE
Nicolas Bamat, MD is a core faculty member in the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE), an attending neonatologist at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and Assistant Professor of pediatrics at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He was formerly a fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training (PHEOT) program managed by the CPCE. He completed a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at CHOP and received a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Bamat completed his internship and residency at CHOP after receiving his MD from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Psychology from Williams College. His research interest is neonatal respiratory failure, with an emphasis on severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia, continuous distending airway pressure levels in infants requiring respiratory support, and neonatal extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
