Marisa Millenson, MS
Marisa Millenson, MS is a Clinical Research Coordinator working with Dr. Michael O’Byrne in the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Marisa works on multiple research projects that focus on improving outcomes in pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart disease. This involves use of large observational datasets to assess quality of care and practice variation between hospitals, comparative effectiveness research, and patient-centered outcomes of patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Prior to joining CPCE, Marisa conducted epidemiology research with faculty from The Brown University School of Public Health to investigate effects of chemical and environmental exposures on child and maternal health. Marisa later joined a team of faculty from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University to study how adherence to oral medications relates to long-term risk of disease complication in children with inflammatory bowel disease. Marisa holds a bachelor of science degree in statistics and a master of science degree in biostatistics from Brown University.
