Lauren Faust is a Clinical Research Assistant at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) and PolicyLab at CHOP. Lauren is working with Dr. Andrea Knight on clinical research studies related to pediatric lupus and neuropsychiatric function.
Lauren received a BA in psychology with a focus in neuroscience from Indiana University. As a student, she worked as a research assistant at the Indiana University Psychology and Neuroscience Laboratories where, among other responsibilities, she conducted neuropsychological evaluations and administered computer tasks to participants in a decision making study. She went on to get a Master of Arts in general psychology at American University.
Lauren later worked for the Child Guidance Resource Centers, providing mental health therapeutic support services, such as crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, time-structuring activities, time-out strategies and psychosocial, rehabilitative activities, for children between the ages of 5-21 with Autism Spectrum diagnosis and/or developmental delays within an after school program setting. Lauren has also provided clinical research support at the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently working towards a Doctorate in clinical psychology.
