Katya Nekrasova, MPH

Research Assistant

Katya Nekrasova is a research assistant at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) and PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She works with Dr. Alexander Fiks on multiple primary-care based projects aiming to improve pediatric care and health outcomes. Much of this research focuses on the incorporation of health information technology.

Katya received her Master's of Public Health (MPH) in Health Management and Policy from Drexel University. During her master’s, she worked with ASERT Collaborative and the Philadelphia Autism Project at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute to support families with autism in Pennsylvania and assess the autism needs of Russian and Ukrainian speaking families with autism in Philadelphia. She also worked with a Community Engagement & Policy Core at Urban Health Collaborative on an urban policy surveillance project to monitor selected topics of urban policies affecting health, such as housing and education, across several cities.

Prior to joining the MPH program, Katya completed her B.B.A. in Finance at North Carolina Central University and worked as a Financial Advisor in Philadelphia. Originally from Russia, Katya understands the importance of diversity and inclusion and bringing diverse personalities together to solve global problems.
