Jessica Rice, DO, MHS

Core Faculty

Jessica Rice, DO, MHS is a core faculty member at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and an assistant professor of pediatric pulmonology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Rice’s research interests are in the field of environmental science and premature lung disease. She is the recipient of a K23 Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development award from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences to study the effects of indoor air pollution on respiratory outcomes in preterm infants.

Dr. Rice received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed pediatrics residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. She did her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and received a Master of Health Science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She joined the faculty at Penn and CHOP in 2021.
