Garrett Keim, MD is a Fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training (PHEOT) program managed by the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is also a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellow in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at CHOP and a student in the Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology program at Penn.

Dr. Keim received a BS in Pre-Medicine from Pennsylvania State University and his MD from the Drexel University College of Medicine. During his residency and early fellowship years at CHOP, Dr. Keim has been involved in several research projects, including a project examining discharge morbidity for survivors of pediatric acute respiratory distress syndrome that was published in Critical Care Medicine. Subsequently, Dr. Keim began work on a dataset to look at the epidemiology of acute respiratory failure in previously healthy children and evaluate for predictors of chronic pulmonary dysfunction. The PHEOT fellowship will allow him to further explore outcomes after respiratory failure.
