Evan Fieldston, MD, MBA, MSHP
Evan Fieldston, MD, MBA, MSHP is a core faculty member of the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) and PolicyLab at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP.) He is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics at CHOP. He is also an Associate Chief Medical Officer at CHOP.
Dr. Fieldston's research focuses on systems of pediatric care, notably children’s hospitals. His research focuses on issues of workload, workforce, and quality of care, collaborating with others on investigations and operations work on patient flow, resource utilization, healthcare finance, social determinants of workload, readmissions, and process improvement. The broad theme of his work is evidence-based management. He also has an interest in behavioral economics and application to individuals and systems.
