Alexia Lemus is a Clinical Research Assistant working with the Endocrine Late Effects after Cancer Therapy (ELECT) program at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE). Alexia is involved in a number of studies within the ELECT program including researching the process of bone accrual in thyroid cancer survivors and cases of diabetes in childhood cancer survivors. Alexia graduated from Howard University where she earned her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Biology. She has previously participated in research investigating emotional psychometrics with the Department of Psychology at Howard University and mapping of the olfactory bulb with the Howard University College of Medicine. Her research interests include oncology, endocrinology, and neurology/neuropsychology.
