Daniele Dona

Visiting Scientist

Daniele Dona is a Visiting Scientist working with the Infectious Diseases Epidemiology research group at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on a wide variety of projects focusing primarily on antimicrobial stewardship. Daniele is involved with a comparative effective study of antibiotic therapy for Gram negative infections, a study on the effect of a clinical pathway on antibiotic prescribing for outpatient urinary tract infections, and a study comparing oral versus intravenous therapy following appendectomy for ruptured appendicitis.

Daniele received his bachelor’s degree in medicine with a specialization in pediatrics from the University of Padua in Italy and is currently a pediatric infectious diseases PhD student.
